Paul – I think you’re referring to a side-stream scrambler (1000BASE-T and 10GBASE-T training), vs. a ‘self-synchronizing’ scrambler (10GBASE-T).  Looking at slide 7 of tu_3ch_01a_0918.pdf, which was adopted, I believe that the side-stream scrambler is indicated.

Hi,

 

  I am moving this topic to the reflector for all to participate in the discussion – specifically, I assume we are looking at going with an additive scrambler as per 1000ABSE-T1 in data mode, and that we will use the same techniques as 1000BASE-T1 to synchronize it?
