[802.3_SUPER-PON] IEEE P802.3cs Increased-reach Ethernet optical subscriber access (Super-PON) initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot results



Dear Colleagues,

The initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot on the Amendment IEEE P802.3cs Increased-reach Ethernet optical subscriber access (Super-PON) closed successfully on 21st April 2021. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft.

The upcoming IEEE P802.3cs Task Force interim meeting <https://www.ieee802.org/3/cs/public/202105/index.html> will consider the 94 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The comment database is posted on the IEEE P802.3cs Task Force web page for the May Interim teleconference: https://www.ieee802.org/3/cs/public/202105/index.html

The ballot statistics are:

 213 Voters
 105 Approve
   6 Disapprove
  38 Abstain
 149 Ballots returned

  69% Response Rate (> 50% required)
  25% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
  94% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
