Dear ct colleagues,

 

With respect to the implementation of the “editorial license” to comment #68, I discussed the final wording inserted in D1.3 with the commenter, Matt Brown.

During the discussion it become evident that the lay-out of clause 154.5.3 in D1.2 was unfortunate, to cause the commenter to overlook the final sentence.

After our mutual discussion the lay-out in D1.3 was rearranged from D1.2 and improved wording was implemented on the basis of the specific comment.

Therefore the new wording is somewhat different than shown in the accepted resolution to the comment.

But “editorial license” provided the flexibility to deal with this.

This is the announcement of the IEEE P802.3ct Task Force fourth review of IEEE P802.3ct 100 GbE over DWDM systems. Instructions for accessing the draft and submitting comments follow this announcement.  

 

IEEE P802.3ct is an amendment of IEEE Std 802.3-2018 as amended by IEEE Std 802.3cb-2018, IEEE Std 802.3bt-2018, IEEE Std 802.3cd-2018, EEE Std 802.3cn-2019, IEEE Std 802.3cg-2019, IEEE Std 802.3cq-20xx, IEEE Std 802.3cm-2020, IEEE Std 802.3ch-20xx, IEEE Std 802.3ca-20xx, and IEEE Std 802.3cu-20xx.  A copy of IEEE Std 802.3-2018 was provided on the 2020 Electronic Media provided at the IEEE 802 Nov 2019 Plenary.  Individuals needing any of the noted amendments should contact the IEEE 802.3 WG Chair.

 

This draft addresses the work in the approved IEEE P802.3ct PAR.  The documentation set is provided below:
