Re: [802.3_100G-OPTX] P802.3cu Task Force meeting announcement and call for presentations

Dear Colleagues,

This email provide details for the meeting of the P802.3cu Task Force.  The meetings will be held during the 802.3 Plenary meeting week in Vienna, Austria during the week of July 15th-20th, 2019

Meeting details may be found at http://www.ieee802.org/3/interims/index.html

With the July expected to be a busy meeting for the Task Forces and with tight meeting room availability we’ve put together a schedule that hopefully accommodates everyone with minimal overlap.

Accordingly, the Task Force is anticipated to meeting on all day Monday (July 15th)  and Tuesday (July 16th) morning.  Here are some finer details:

  • Mon- 8am start, break for 802.3 WG opening planetary @ 10-12pm, resume 1pm-6pm
  • Tues Morning 8am start to finish when business concludes
  • Our Tuesday morning room assignment is the same as the .3ck Task Force which will be announcing a 9am start.  If the .3cu TF needs more time to finish, the .3ck TF start will be delayed.  I will work closely with Beth to coordinate and communicate.  If there is a chance to wrap .3ck TF business on Monday by extending into evening session, that will be considered too.

The 802.3cu TF  goals for this meeting are to:

  • Review any technical contributions (including proposals aimed towards addressing the objectives)
  • Adopt any baseline proposals where consensus exists
  • Adopt a Task Force timeline

Presentations in line with any of the above is encouraged.

Requests for presentation time shall be made to me at mnowell@xxxxxxxxx  and must be made by EOD Friday, July  5th, 2019.  The presenter shall e-mail a PDF, soft-copy by Tues, July 9th, 2019.

Regards,

Mark Nowell

802.3ck Task Force Chair
