Re: [EFM] Cable plant question

Vipul,

It has been my experience that the service providers dictate the type of
connector/termination that they want in the field. This is primarily
driven by the issue of purchasing bulk quantities of particular patch
panels, fiber termination "pig tails", and fiber patch cords. The types of
connectors used for termination range from PC/FC to MU and all the range of
possible connectors in between. Depending on where you are in the world,
there may be a greater number of one type of connector than others, but
this changes in different parts of the world.

You be the judge.

Thank you,
Roy Bynum
