[EFM] IEEE P802.3ah Draft 1.732 Comments with Proposed Responses

Dear Members of the IEEE 802.3ah EFM Task Force,

Below is the announcement and link to the comment responses on D1.732 as well as a few words on the comments from this cycle.

Comments Announcement
Your editorial team has produced suggested responses to the 571 comments in our D1.732 comment database!

A pdf with the comments and suggested responses can be downloaded from our comments page at:

http://www.ieee802.org/3/efm/public/comments/

My thanx to all the editorial teams, our editorial leads as well as our honorary comment editor, Brad, for all of their hard work.

A few words about the comments
First, I would like to congratulate everyone for going through and reviewing our first DIFF document. That was worthwhile practice for all involved and will hopefully make re-circulations in our ballot cycles go smoothly.

You will notice that some comments were filed against unchanged or "out of scope" text. Our editors have gone to great lengths to point out to the commenters in their responses which comments would have been considered "out of scope" as they did not address changes from the previous draft. However, since this was a practice run and not an official re-circulation, all comments will be addressed in Ottawa. I hope that the commenters take this feedback and apply it when we are in a formal re-circulation ballot.

Second, I would like to point out that the number of comments is significantly less than last time. We have a total of 571 comments on this draft. Nonetheless, please keep in mind that we will have about 1 day to resolve comments in the STF. So please come prepared by going through the comments and suggested responses ahead of time.

Our group has done well so far in resolving comments and we will have to do the same again. Our goal and target for Ottawa should be to close all comments on this draft.

I look forward to seeing you in Ottawa
