Re: [802.3_DIALOG] March Plenary - NEA ad Hoc

James,

The meeting was moved to tomorrow night at 7pm due to conflict with tutorial sessions.  A prior email was sent regarding the schedule change.

Hello John,

Is the NEA session on 100G serial still scheduled for tonight starting at 7pm?  Has the meeting room been established?

Thanks,

James

All,

Please note that the session requested by Joel Goergen to discuss 100G serial electrical signaling over copper will also include discussion of 800GbE.

Dear Ad hoc Participants,

I want to give an update on the upcoming NEA session at the March Plenary

  1. >10km SMF PMDs – this activity will not meet at this session, as I am anticipating new technical data that won’t be available until after OFC, which is after the March Plenary.
  2. Next-Generation MMF PMDs – this activity will meet.  Please contact Robert Lingle if you have further questions.
  3. New Effort – 100Gb/s Electrical Signaling Over Copper.  This is a new topic for discussion that has been requested by Joel Goergen of Cisco.  Individuals who are interested in participating in this effort or have relevant data or slides should contact Joel.

The NEA Ad Hoc will be meeting Monday night, March 13, 7pm to 10pm, and will address Topics 2 & 3.

Information regarding the March meeting may be found at http://802world.org/plenary/.
