IEEE 802 Plenary November 2017

Good Day Steven,

We are looking forward to seeing you at the November 2017 IEEE 802 Plenary Session at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, FL USA.

Please note the Orlando International Airport has major renovation projects under development and you may experience longer that normal wait times to clear customs /immigration and baggage claim.

Important Note for International Arrivals

  • International arriving passengers clearing immigration on Airside 1 (Gates 1-29) will be required to place their checked/larger baggage on the re-check belt after exiting the U.S. Immigration and Customs area.
  •  International arriving passengers will pick up those re-checked bags on the 2nd level baggage claim of the main terminal.
  • Please check with your airline or the baggage claim monitors to identify the correct baggage carousel.

Should the single operating tram have an interruption of service, the airport will deploy buses to transport passengers between the terminal and the gates. Special signage and airport personnel will assist passengers until the train is returned to service.

Important Note for Departures

The Airside 1 (Gates 1-29) train replacement work began June 2017 and will continue through March 2018.  During the train replacement process, only a single APM (train) will remain operational.

For that period, passengers traveling on these airlines may be impacted.

  • Aer Lingus
  • AeroMexico
  • Air Transat
  • Avianca
  • Azul
  • Copa
  • Eurowings
  • Frontier
  • Icelandair
  • JetBlue
  • LAN
  • Silver Airways
  • Sunwing
  • TAM
  • WestJet

Travelers departing on any of the above-mentioned airlines should allow for additional time to get to/from the main terminal and the gates.

We appreciate your understanding as the airport authority works to provide you a better travel experience at Orlando International Airport.

Sincerely,

Dawn Slykhouse, President
