[802.3_DIALOG] 46 years !! Happy birthday

On May 22, 1973, 46 years ago today, Bob Metcalfe wrote what has come to be identified as the fundamental description of Ethernet.

This was only the concept and only marginally recognizable at this point.
By the time Metcalfe and Dave Boggs had actually put together some hardware
months later what they had was much more familiar looking.

This form was initially deployed at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center )PARC)
and then throughout Xerox on 3 continents.  What was released as the
multi-vendor spec in 1980 and became IEEE Std 802.3 in 1983 was very similar
albeit with upgrades in speed, protocol and addressing capability.
And that was just the start...

Happy birthday.
