[802.3_DIALOG] IEEE P802.3ca 25 Gb/s and 50 Gb/s Ethernet Passive Optical Networks initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot results
Dear Colleagues,
The initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot on the Amendment IEEE P802.3ca 25 Gb/s and 50 Gb/s Ethernet Passive Optical Networks closed successfully on 23rd June 2019. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The July 2019 IEEE P802.3ca Task Force plenary week meeting <http://www.ieee802.org/3/interims/index.html> will consider the 491 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database will be announced on the IEEE P802.3ca Task Force reflector.
The ballot statistics are:
235 Voters
93 Approve
15 Disapprove
26 Abstain
134 Ballots returned
57% Response Rate (> 50% required)
19% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
86% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
