[802.3_DIALOG] IEEE P802.3cn 50 Gb/s, 200 Gb/s, and 400 Gb/s over greater than 10 km of SMF initial Standards Association ballot results

Dear Colleagues,

The initial Standards Association ballot on the Amendment IEEE P802.3cn 50 Gb/s, 200 Gb/s, and 400 Gb/s over greater than 10 km of SMF closed successfully on 18th August 2019. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The August 2019 IEEE P802.3cn Task Force interim meeting considered the comments today, the comments and their responses can be accessed at <http://ieee802.org/3/cn/comments/index.html>.

The ballot statistics are:

  88 Voters
  73 Approve
   1 Disapprove 
   3 Abstain
  77 Ballots returned

  87% Response Rate (>= 75% required)
   3% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
  98% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
