[802.3_DIALOG] IEEE 802.3 May 2020 teleconference interim meeting

Dear Colleagues,

I wanted to remind you that the draft agenda, as well as liaison letters received so far, are available in the IEEE 802.3 May 2020 teleconference interim meeting minutes area <http://www.ieee802.org/3/minutes/may20/index.html> and will be updated as required prior to the meeting. The agenda will be approved at the meeting.

I also wanted to remind you that there will be IEEE 802.3 External PAR Review ad hoc meeting on Monday 11th May 2020 <http://www.ieee802.org/3/email_dialog/msg01043.html> as well as provide the following status with respect to liaison letters received so far.

ETSI: Formation of Fifth Generation Fixed Network (F5G) Industry Specification Group (ISG)

The letter can be accessed at <http://ieee802.org/3/minutes/may20/index.html>, item C1. Frank Effenberger has agreed to draft a proposed response to establish contact and encourage collaboration. If you would like to contribute to this proposed response please contact Frank directly. This proposed response will be considered at the May 2020 IEEE 802.3 Working Group Interim meeting.

ITU-T SG15: Bidirectional optics for access

Based on the subject matter of the letter I've requested that the IEEE P802.3cp Bidirectional 10 Gb/s, 25 Gb/s, and 50 Gb/s Optical Access PHYs Task Force review this letter and based on this review make a recommendation at the May 2020 IEEE 802.3 Working Group Interim meeting if there should be a reply, and if so, propose a draft reply.

OIF: Progress on OIF CEI-112G-VSR and CEI-112G-LR projects

Based on the subject matter of the letter I've requested that the IEEE P802.3ck 100 Gb/s, 200 Gb/s, and 400 Gb/s Electrical Interfaces Task Force review this letter and based on this review make a recommendation at the May 2020 IEEE 802.3 Working Group Interim meeting if there should be a reply, and if so, propose a draft reply.
