[802.3_DIALOG] IEEE P802.3cu 100 Gb/s and 400 Gb/s over SMF at 100 Gb/s per Wavelength initial Standards Association ballot results

Dear Colleagues,

The initial Standards Association ballot on the amendment IEEE P802.3cu 100 Gb/s and 400 Gb/s over SMF at 100 Gb/s per Wavelength closed successfully on 12th August 2020. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The upcoming IEEE P802.3cu Task Force teleconferences <https://ieee802.org/3/calendar.html> will consider the 91 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database has already been announced on the IEEE P802.3cu Task Force reflector.

The ballot statistics are:

 103 Voters
  78 Approve
   3 Disapprove 
   3 Abstain
  84 Ballots returned

  81% Response Rate (>= 75% required)
   3% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
  96% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
