[802.3_DIALOG] IEEE P802.3cp Bidirectional 10 Gb/s, 25 Gb/s, and 50 Gb/s Optical Access PHYs 1st IEEE 802.3 Working Group recirculation ballot results

Dear Colleagues,

The 1st IEEE 802.3 Working Group recirculation ballot on the amendment IEEE P802.3cp Bidirectional 10 Gb/s, 25 Gb/s, and 50 Gb/s Optical Access PHYs closed successfully on 1st September 2020. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The upcoming IEEE P802.3cp Task Force teleconference meetings <http://ieee802.org/3/calendar.html> will consider the 70 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database has been announced on the IEEE P802.3cp Task Force reflector.

The ballot statistics are:

 195 Voters
  97 Approve
  12 Disapprove 
  18 Abstain
 127 Ballots returned

  65% Response Rate (> 50% required)
  14% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
  88% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
