[802.3_DIALOG] IEEE 802.3 November 2020 plenary session announcement

Dear Colleagues,

IEEE 802.3 will hold its November 2020 plenary session telephonically, from Monday 9th November, through Thursday, 19th November 2020. Note that the IEEE 802.3 November 2020 plenary session is offset from the IEEE 802 November 2020 plenary session, which takes place from Friday 30th October 2020, through Friday 13th November 2020. This change is to avoid overlap with OIF meetings taking place the week of 2nd November 2020, which are relevant to a significant number of IEEE 802.3 participants.

There will be an IEEE 802.3 Opening plenary meeting on Monday 9th November, a Mid-session IEEE 802.3 plenary meeting on Thursday 12th November 2020, and an IEEE 802.3 Closing plenary session on Thursday 19th November 2020. The Mid-session IEEE 802.3 plenary meeting will allow us to consider any items that need to be on the IEEE 802 EC Closing meeting agenda the following day. All these meetings will be held from 14h00 UTC (06h00 PST, 07h00 MST, 08h00 CST, 09h00 EST, 14h00 GMT, 15h00 CET, 19h30 IST, 22h00 CST, 23h00 JST) to 16h00 UTC. I will send meeting invitations shortly.

Task Force, standing committee, and any appropriate ad hoc meetings will be held from Tuesday 10th November 2020 UTC through Wednesday 18th November 2020 UTC, excluding Friday 13th November 2020 UTC through Sunday 15th November 2020 UTC, and will be announced in the following weeks.

Attendance credit toward membership requires at least 75% attendance during the plenary session. As a result, you will need to record attendance at a meeting on at least six of the eight meeting days of the November 2020 IEEE 802.3 plenary session, independent of how long a particular subgroup might be meeting. Several WG decisions are expected during the IEEE 802.3 meetings (most during the Thursday 12th November 2020 Mid-session and Thursday 19th November 2020 Closing plenary meetings). Depending on the amount of discussion, IEEE 802.3 WG meetings may run beyond our target 16h00 UTC ending time, so please plan your time accordingly.
