[802.3_DIALOG] IEEE P802.3dd Power over Data Lines of Single Pair Ethernet (Maintenance #17) initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot results

Dear Colleagues,

The initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot of the amendment IEEE P802.3dd Power over Data Lines of Single Pair Ethernet (Maintenance #17) closed successfully on 8th November 2021. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The November 2021 IEEE P802.3dd Task Force plenary session meeting <https://ieee802.org/3/calendar.html> will consider the 63 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database will be announced on the IEEE P802.3dd Task Force reflector.

The ballot statistics are:

 225 Voters
 108 Approve
   3 Disapprove 
  23 Abstain
 134 Ballots returned

  59% Response Rate (> 50% required)
  17% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
  97% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
