[802.3_DIALOG] Opportunity to comment on IEEE 802.24 Low Latency Communication White Paper

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to announce the opportunity to comment on the IEEE P802.24 Vertical Applications Technical Advisory Group (TAG) Low Latency Communication White Paper. Clause 1 'Background and Introduction' of the IEEE 802.24 Low Latency Communication White Paper reads 'This white paper is to inform users and IEEE 802 working groups on the applications and requirements for low latency communications. Low latency is challenging to implement in wired or wireless networks that communicate over a shared medium. Wireless networks that operate in unlicensed spectrum with contention-based protocols make low latency more difficult to achieve. Low latency is typically achieved by a combination of access control and scheduling along with increasing bandwidth (overprovisioning) in the network.'.

The comment collection is being conducted through IEEE-SA ePoll using an "ePoll with Vote and Comments" poll, however, the vote will not be used. Unfortunately, cross-Working Group ePolls are not possible, hence you will need to join the IEEE 802.24 group on the IEEE-SA Mentor system if you have not already done so. Details are provided below.

The comment deadline is 11 September 2023 at 23:59:59 EDT (UTC -4).

Best regards,
  David

To join the IEEE 802.24 group on the IEEE-SA Mentor system:
[1] Access the IEEE 802.24 area on the IEEE-SA Mentor system at <https://mentor.ieee.org/802.24/documents>.
[2] In the top right corner, click on 'Sign In' and log in using your IEEE Account.
[3] In the upper right, click on 'Join group' between the 'Download spreadsheet' and 'Join group' options.
If you cannot see the 'Join group' option, you're likely already in the group.
[4] Wait for an email confirming approval of your request titled 'Mentor Smart Grid TAG Approval'.
Please note that the request requires manual approval so there may be a delay.
[5] Access the Low Latency Communication White Paper ePoll at <https://mentor.ieee.org/802.24/polls>.
