[802.3_DIALOG] March 2024 IEEE 802.3 Ethernet Working Group Election

Dear Colleagues,

Please review the message from Paul Nikolich, the IEEE 802 Chair, regarding the March 2024 elections and confirmation of appointed Executive Committee members and Working Group and Technical Advisory Group Chairs and Vice-Chairs available at <https://ieee802.org/secmail/msg28713.html>. During these elections, I will be seeking re-election as Chair of IEEE 802.3, and Adam Healey will be seeking re-election as Vice-Chair of IEEE 802.3.

As approved at the November 2023 IEEE 802.3 closing plenary meeting, the election process for the IEEE 802.3 Chair and Vice-chair can be found on slides 40 and 41 of the November 2023 IEEE 802.3 Working Group closing plenary report slide set <http://www.ieee802.org/3/minutes/nov23/1123_802_3_closing_plenary.pdf#page=40>. For anybody interested in standing for either of these two elected positions, please see the general information and requirements on slide 38 <http://www.ieee802.org/3/minutes/nov23/1123_802_3_closing_plenary.pdf#page=38>.

The IEEE 802.3 Recording Secretary and IEEE 802.3 Treasurer positions are appointed positions with a two-year term, other IEEE 802.3 leaders are appointed positions without a specified term. If re-elected I do not intend to make any changes. I would appoint Jon Lewis as the IEEE 802.3 Recording Secretary and Valerie Maguire as the IEEE 802.3 Treasurer for another two-year term, with other IEEE 802.3 Working Group leadership positions unchanged [Chad Jones, Executive Secretary; John D'Ambrosia, Chair, Tom Issenhuth, Vice-Chair, IEEE P802.3cw 400 Gb/s over DWDM systems Task Force; Chad Jones, Chair, IEEE P802.3da 10 Mb/s Single Pair Multidrop Segments Enhancement Task Force; John D'Ambrosia, Chair, Mark Nowell, Vice-Chair, IEEE P802.3df 200 Gb/s, 400 Gb/s, 800 Gb/s, and 1.6 Tb/s Ethernet Task Force; George Zimmerman, Chair, IEEE P802.3dg 100 Mb/s Long-Reach Single Pair Ethernet Task Force; John D'Ambrosia, Chair, Mark Nowell, Vice-Chair, IEEE P802.3dj 200 Gb/s, 400 Gb/s, 800 Gb/s, and
