Re: [802.3_EPOC] sample questionnaire for coax channel model

Thank you, David.

Just for some background, Amarildo Viera and I were tasked with gathering
pertinent information about the coaxial portion of the cable plant so that
an appropriate channel model can be developed which considered the range
of plant likely to be encountered for the nascent 802.3bn standard. I
should point out, that the document I submitted is derived from a
questionnaire used in rebuilds, etc., but is not anticipated that it will
be used in this context (i.e., as a questionnaire) per se. In fact,
Amarildo and I were anticipating that we would wind up filling in our best
estimates of the answers as a first cut, and we submitted it to the
broader group only to ensure we considered a full range of possibilities.

All that said, I look forward to your guidance on ensuring we follow the
proper strictures, and will be happy to revise the doc to comply. May I
suggest that we discuss whether a revision to the doc such that we list
our inputs as a basis for a channel model and solicit inputs from the task
force participants (only) to flesh out the model is a valid starting
point?

Thanks for your help, and I look forward to further discussions.
Tim
