OK, now it starts to make sense.

Thanks

Marek,

This time slot is to be shared (multiplexed) by all four Ad
Hocs. This week it will be used for the PHY Link Ad Hoc.

Steve,

I am confused then. Is this supposed to be the Asia-friendly call for all
tracks or Asia-friendly call for Link Ad-Hoc and if so, where the
Europe-friendly timeslot?

Marek,

The intent is to have one Asia-friendly call a week. All the
other calls will be Europe-friendly.

I think we need to try to have this Asia-friendly call and
see if we can draw in more people from Asia.

I think it is especially important for the Evaluation Criteria and
Requirements Ad Hoc, so we get good input from the Chinese MSOs.

Also, if there is anyone who can help with translation to
assist people who do not speak English that would be great.

Ed,

I would humbly suggest that we assess whether making the times Asia-friendly
brings in new participants or not and revisit the time slot allocation in
the near future. For myself, this call will be at 1 am going forward and for
obvious reasons I will not be attending it any more.

Hi Marek,

I understand. Steve, Duane, and I plan to rotate our Ad Hocs into the Asia
friendly time slot. Normally, we will have the Link Ad Hoc call on the
voted timeslot of Thursday morning. We hoped that the rotating time slot
would allow people in all regions to participate.

Thanks,

Ed.

Ed,

Please note that that time will make it very hard for anybody in Europe to
attend the call and contribute .

Dear 802.3bn,

I have cancelled the Thursday call this week and moved the call to the Asia
friendly time slot of Tuesday 5pm PST for this week only. I will follow up
this email with a calendar appointment. Please feel free to request
presentation time. I would like to continue discussion on the general
downstream transport.

Thanks,

Ed..
