CONGRATULATIONS!
Everyone should be a father (or mother as appropriate) at least once. It is such a learning experience. You will never regret it (well maybe during those 3:00 am "special" times but those regrets will soon pass).
Of course Mark left out all the important details; is it a boy or a girl? What is the youngin's name?
