Re: [STDS-802-3-EPOC] FW: Reminder: Editors announce availability of P802.3bn Draft 0.2, comments due by 18 OCT AOE.

Hi Mark,

As one of the people who was "putting time and diligence into making
technical comments", instead of making stand-alone contributions for this
meeting, I elected to point to the specific location in the draft where the
problem exists and provide a specific solution to the problem. I think we
are at the point in TF work where high level contributions and stand-alone
presentations should be slowly retired and we should be moving towards more
pointed comments with proposed fixes to identified problems.

Just a thought . I would like to see all of my comments discussed at the
upcoming meeting, and at least the ones that come with attached files
demonstrating the required changes. I tried to limit the number of
comments, and focus on quality, rather than quantity, so these ought not
take too much time of the TF.

Regards

P802.3bn Draft 0.2, comments due by 18 OCT AOE.

Greetings, P802.3bn Task Force Participants,

In yesterday's PHY sub-group conference call, it was noted that several
participants are putting time and diligence into making technical comments
against the D0.2 draft, as per the prior call for comment. While this is an
informal phase for us at this time, please plan on agenda time in place to
go through the comments at the Dallas meeting.

A reminder that the deadline for comments is tomorrow: Friday, 18 Oct 2013,
AoE <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anywhere_on_Earth> .

Yours truly,

Mark Laubach, Chair

Dear IEEE P802.3bn EPoC PHY Task Force Participants,

As per the below emails from 9/17 and 9/18, I'd like to remind the TF that
the Editors are awaiting comments on Draft 0.2. The due date for these is
this Friday, 18 October 2013. This will permit them the necessary
preparation time to collate comments for distribution before the Dallas
meeting next month.

Thanks on this.

Yours truly,

Dear IEEE P802.3bn Task Force,

This is an informal call for review of D0.2 with a due date of Friday, 18
October 2013.

Draft D0.2 that was posted and announced yesterday.

Please use the 802.3 Comment Entry Tool. It can be downloaded at:
http://www.ieee802.org/3/WG_tools/index.html

Please send the output of the comment tool to the Editors directly or on the
EPoC reflector. The Editors will compile all comments received and make the
compendium available to the Task Force before the next face to face meeting.

Anyone needing help with the Comment Entry Tool can contact the Editors
directly. Additionally if needed, we can devote some demonstration time
during one of the upcoming PHY conference call times.

Subject: [STDS-802-3-EPOC] Editors announce availability of P802.3bn Draft
0.2

Dear IEEE P802.3bn Task Force participants,

The Editors would like to announce the availability of the P802.3bn Draft
0.2:

The draft is available in the private area of the EPoC web site. You will
notice two files for this draft:

P802d3bn_d02.pdf
<http://www.ieee802.org/3/bn/private/Drafts/P802d3bn_d02.pdf> is a clean
file without markup. PLEASE COMMENT ON THIS FILE.

P802d3bn_d02_cmp.pdf
<http://www.ieee802.org/3/bn/private/Drafts/P802d3bn_d02_cmp.pdf> is a
FrameMaker generated markup file showing additions and deletions compared to
D0.10. DO NOT COMMENT ON THIS FILE!

You may notice that the FrameMaker generated markup file shows some figures
or equations as having changed that were not changed. For example in Cl
67.2.2 Figure 67-1 is marked as changing when, in fact, it was not changed,
also Figure 101-1 and equation 101-1 are incorrectly shown as changed. This
is a known anomaly of FrameMaker with no known fix other than manually
editing the generated file. In general, the Editors will not spend time
correcting these anomalies.

Access to the private area of the web site requires login and password
credentials. Please do not forward credentials to anyone. Any member of
the EPoC email reflector or the 802.3 Working Group can have access. If you
need access, please email me directly.

Yours truly,

Mark Laubach, Chair
