Re: [STDS-802-3-EPOC] Minutes and files posted for today's PHY combined sub-group conference call



I have a question for the group at large. What is the need for the scrambler/descrambler functions in line with the PHY-Link channels? Are these necessary or are we just carrying these over from the optical PHY where this would have a more obvious need? Would there be any significant harm in eliminating this in the PHY-Link path?
