[8023-FETF] FW: [802.3] P802.3as Initial WG ballot results

In case you didn't see Bob Grow's announcement on the IEEE 802.3 reflector, the IEEE 802.3as/D2.0 WG ballot has closed successfully (see below). Glenn Parsons (IEEE P802.3as Editor) and I are working on compiling the comments and preparing proposed responses. See you next Wednesday in Nashua, NH.

The P802.3as/D2.0 initial working group  ballot has closed successfully.  The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft.  The September P802.3as Task Force meeting will consider the 222 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft are appropriate.  The availability of the comment database will be announced shortly on both this and the TF reflector.
 
The ballot statistics are:
 
200  Voters
 77  Aprove
 16  Disapprove
 30  Abstain
123  Ballots returned
 
61.50%  Response Rate
24.39%  Abstain Rate
82.80%  Approval Rate
