All, We have a limited amount of time before the May Interim. As
detailed in the Call for Presentations, the due date for presentation requests
and materials is Tuesday, May 22. The proposed 40G MAC Rate objective has been discussed for
the last 3 meeting cycles, and have not achieved consensus on a decision. At
the April meeting Howard Frazier pulled together a list of issues related to
40G (http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/802/3/hssg/public/apr07/frazier_02_0407.pdf)
. I encourage all to review this presentation as well as the other 40G related
materials presented during the last 3 meetings, and use the reflector as a
medium for consensus building prior to the May meeting. John |
