In order to make room reservations either:

The reservation deadline for rooms in our block is Tuesday, December 20, 2005. Reservations made after that date will be accepted on a space available basis. Everyone is encouraged to reserve a room as quickly as possible. Reservations must be guaranteed with major credit card. Release of the guarantee will occur so long as notice of cancellation is given to the San Marcos Hotel and Conference Center 3 days prior to the scheduled day of arrival.

The IEEE rate is the lowest that the hotel will offer during our week and includes continental breakfast and the morning and afternoon breaks. There is no meeting fee, hence there is no registration. IEEE 802.3 is the meeting host for this Interim, and it is very important that everyone stay at the San Marcos and identify them as 802.3 participants. Please help us keep the meeting costs as low as possible!

The hotel will give a discount to 802.3 members who would like to play golf. Our guests can play golf for $89, a discount from the regular $110 rate, by mentioning that they're with the group when they go to the clubhouse.


Meeting Registration

Transportation Information

The San Marcos Hotel and Conference Center is about 25 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Recommended transportation is via Super Shuttle which offers a special $16.00 rate per passenger each way. If renting a car or driving in, please find driving directions listed below.

Driving directions:

From Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport:
Take Interstate 10 East (towards Tucson) and exit onto Loop 202 East/Pecos Road. Travel East on Loop 202 and exit on Arizona Avenue. Turn Left on Arizona Avenue; traveling north until you reach Buffalo Street. Turn left onto Buffalo Street and the resort will be on the left.

From East:
Go west on Superstition Freeway (US Highway 60) and exit onto Country Club Drive (state Route 87). Turn left onto Country Club Drive and drive south eight miles. Country Club will become Arizona Avenue. Go past Chandler Boulevard and, at the next light, turn right onto Buffalo Street. The resort will be on the left.

From West:
Take Interstate 10 East (towards Tucson) and exit onto Loop 202 East/Pecos Road. Travel East on Loop 202 and exit on Arizona Avenue. Turn Left on Arizona Avenue; traveling north until you reach Buffalo Street. Turn left onto Buffalo Street and the resort will be on the left.

From Tucson:
Take Interstate 10 West and exit onto Loop 202 East/Pecos Road. Travel East on Loop 202 and exit on Arizona Avenue. Turn Left on Arizona Avenue; traveling north until you reach Buffalo Street. Turn left onto Buffalo Street and the resort will be on the left.
