Accommodations meeting package group rates

Our meeting hosts have arranged for a limited number of guest rooms at several Hotels in Copenhagen. You have the choice between staying at the Hilton, right at the meeting venue, or rather in downtown Copenhagen, right next to the pedestrian area and the famous Tivoli gardens. Agreed special group rates vary depending on the Hotel of your choice. Please visit the separate

Registration and Hotel Reservation Website.

As a 'hosted' Interim meeting there is no meeting fee however by making a reservation through the web, you will be registered with the meetings. This is to improve the estimated attendance figures, thus making sure we have the right size and number of meeting rooms. Your data will be used for organizational purposes only and deleted by the end of the meeting.

The special rates are available September 15 to September 23, subject to room availability. Please make your room reservations only through the Hotel Reservation Website. If making reservations via phone for any reason, please be sure to identify yourself as a member of the IEEE 802 Group to obtain the special group rates. The room blocks in the respective hotels will be reserved for IEEE 802 attendees until the reservation cutoff date:

Monday, August 6, 2001

Please note: At the cut-off date, the Hotels will release the unreserved rooms for general sale. Any reservations received after the cut-off date, or after group block is full, will be accepted on a space or rate available basis. A one night (room + tax) deposit or major credit card will be required to guarantee your reservation. A deposit refund will be issued if cancellation is made at least 48 hours before projected arrival date and time. If cancellation occurs less than 48 hours prior to arrival, or if you fail to check in (No Show), the deposit is non-refundable or your credit card will be charged for one night's room + tax.

General Information

The Hilton Copenhagen Airport is located right opposite of the Copenhagen Airport at Kastrup (Airport code: CPH). Inside the Terminal 3 building, walk to the narrow end of the hall and follow the signs for "Hotel". These will direct you right inside the Hilton via a covered walkway. For going to the downtown Hotels, there is a train station inside the Terminal 3 building. Trains take you downtown within about 10 minutes at a charge of 36 DKK (about 4.50 US$). You can also take a Taxi into town, which will cost about 300 DKK (about 35 US$). Renting a car is not recommended unless unavoidable. Rental cars are expensive and downtown traffic can be heavy. Copenhagen has a good, safe and clean public transport system with very good coverage of the metropolitan area.

Please consider bringing along an RJ-45 patch cable with your laptop. The larger Hotels have broadband internet access at each room, terminated in a 10/100BASE-T Ethernet socket.
