Please excuse a newcomer if I am asking an old
question - I could not see much on the mailing list archive about
this.
Could someone point me to any discussions or
documents that explain why the spec does not allow twice the power by using all
four pairs? Was this a commercial decision, or one taken on technical or safety
grounds?
