Thanks a million. By the way great work and progress on this standard. I look forward to

Celebrating along with the rest of the committee members when this finally becomes a standard.

Haresh-

1. P80-2.3af submitted to RevCom - May 2, 2003 -DONE

2. P802.3af goes to the Standards Board - June 12. Assuming they ratify it, P802.3 becomes an approved draft

3. IEEE Editorial Staff publishes P802.3af with IEEE editorial staff clean-up---no technical differences from D4.3 - July 11

4. P802.3af becomes part of 802.3-2004 standard during next update cycle in 2004 - published by November 2004

The unapproved draft D4.3 will stay in sale until June 12. It will be replaced at that time by a version with a new cover page that states that it is an "approved draft." This will be replaced when the IEEE publishes the cleaned-up version on July 11.  The IEEE publishing date might slip. The June 12 date will not change. From June 12 on P802.3af is an approved draft standard.

There are no remaining tasks for the 802.3af TF, except my final report to 802.3 on Monday, July 21.

Regards,

Steve

Hi Steve,

Can you tell me what the status of the 802.3af standard is? Is it finalized yet?

Thanks.
