-        David’s Proposal 2 – Non-TDM like scheduling for supporting isochronous traffic

o      Rate categorization of priorities

o      Difference between class B and C – deferred.

o      Shapers and pacers

§        Naming is not “universally accepted” vis-à-vis their description

Shaper – contending with time – need credits earner against time

Pacer – contending against each other (two flows only) – credits earned

o      Shaper state machine

§        Calculates timestamps for frames

o      Transmitter state machine

§        Line 10 – if no class A traffic is DUE to transmission, transmit one of them anyway – state machine enforces a MAX 75% usage of bandwidth by class A traffic.
