Requirements for Voting on Drafts
Draft standards within Working Group 802.3 pass through a two stage balloting
process, first through Working Group Ballot, then through Sponsor Ballot.
For an overview of this process see subclause 7.1 of the
Operating Rules of IEEE Project 802 Working Group 802.3, CSMA/CD LANs.
If you wish to vote on a Working Group 802.3 draft standards at the Working
Group Ballot stage you need to become a Voting Member of Working
Group 802.3. If you wish to vote on a Working Group 802.3 draft standard at the
Sponsor Ballot stage you need to either be a member of the IEEE Standards Association, or pay an equivalent per ballot fee, and join the particular balloting group.
Note: A Frequently Asked Questions page is available
covering the most commonly asked questions about the
balloting process as well as some additional explanatory material.
