Presentation to UK conference
Dear SEC,
Please find, for your information, on the web site a presentation, made by
802.11 and 802.15 in response to a request from the UK Radio Communications
Agency to address a Strawman proposal for the use of the 5 GHz band in the
UK.
The UK-RA made the Strawman proposal after reviewing the responses
(including the response from 802.11 approved at the November 1999 SEC
meeting).

In time sequence you will find the various documents.
The presentation was prepared at the interim meeting of 802.11 and 802.15
(May 8-11, 2000).
Both 802.11 and 802.15 had a quorum

Standards Working Group for Wireless Local Area Networks
Unanimously approved with 21, 0, 3*), final approval with 13, 0, 1*)
and IEEE 802.15,
Standards Working Group for Wireless Personal Area Networks
Unanimously approved with 19, 0, 5*), final approval with 9, 0, 6*)
*) approving, disapproving, abstaining
