RE: [802SEC] Get IEEE 802 status update
I would second except for the phrase "intends to approve". That makes this
motion a tacit acceptance of the agreement as written. We will be
considering endorsing the agreement in July. Also, the motion should
reverence a later revision that includes the editorial corrections
recommended by Paul and I as well as Paul's substantive additions.

"To immediately release the March 2002 LMSC funds held in escrow for
the 'Get IEEE 802' program, with the understanding that the SEC
intends to approve, at its July 2002 meeting, an agreement with the
IEEE-SA based on the terms outlined in the document 'Get IEEE 802
Program Agreement' (created 4 June 2002, 10:34 am)."
Rationale: I agree with Bob and Bill that we need a more formalized
agreement, and I don't think the one that Jerry submitted this
morning is sufficient. However, the Chair is seeking a quick action
on the March 2002 funds, and I think that the progress reflected in
the Task Group discussion justifies this. The Chair has not asked for
a longer-term commitment right now.
