Re: [802SEC] projector donations

Paul and other EC colleagues,
Unless the EC feels it inappropriate, my wife has a 501(c)3 non-profit called Lehigh Wildcare - she's licensed by the PA State Game Commission as a wildlife rehabilitator and operates the only licensed wildlife rehab facility within about an hour's drive radius of here.
Lehigh Wildcare lives entirely on donations (mostly from folks who bring injured or orphaned wildlife to the rehab center) and pays NO salaries.  (For my wife,
it's a "full-time job," but she receives no compensation whatsoever.)
Last year Lehigh Wildcare cared for approximately 2,000 injured or orphaned wild animals, provided numerous education programs to school, scout, and other youth groups, and is recognized in the community as providing a valuable public service.
An LCD prjector would be very useful for Lehigh Wildcare's educational and fund-raising programs.
If anyone on the EC would like to check it out, you can go to

Subject: [802SEC] projector donations

Dear EC members,
As Buzz told us during the closing EC meeting, we have 5 projectors that are to be retired.  We will keep one as a spare to cover a failure of one of our existing projectors, the other 4 will be donated.  We think they should be donated to worthy non-profits serving their communities.  We have had one request for a donation from the Religous Society of Friends (Quakers) in Palo Alto for their youth program.  They are a 501c3 organization.  Buzz and I plan to honor that request.
We thought that we should give the EC members an opportunity to name similar type community programs worthy of a donation of our old equipment.  Please contact the programs you think may be interested and have them send a letter to Buzz requesting a donation of a projector.  We'll donate the remaining projectors on a first come first serve basis.
