I think I said on the telecon today that we had agreed to open our reflector during the prior P&P ballot (for the P&P revision process). Apparently I was wrong (see below), so we may need to reexamine the openness requirement. As Bob point out in the attached e-mail, everyone has access to our e-mails via an archive. This does constitute openness. I’d like to believe it is sufficient openness. But if people feel otherwise, then we will have to address that.

We discussed this and it is not open. We did not decide to open it, since anyone can request a subscription, which will then be forwarded to me for approval. I approve all subscription requests. In addition, if all they want to do is observe, all the EC emails are on the web site.
I know we talked about making the EC reflector open for subscription by observers. Any idea when that would occur.
