Title: If you plan to vote no, abstain, or did not vote - PLEASE RESPOND +++ LMSC P&P Revision Ballot +++ EC Voting Rules +++ Proposed Resoution Status

Folks,

The Straw Poll on this ballot indicated the following results:

For:            7

Against:        1

Abstain         5

Did Not Vote    2

Further probing revealed that the main issue for those against / abstaining appeared to be that disciplinary action of an EC member could be had based on a majority vote.  A number of individuals indicated they would change from abstain or against to for if that threshold was raised to 2/3rds.  After the EC meeting closed, closer inspection revealed that the offending text had already been removed.  However other text (which exists in the current rules) allows disciplinary action on a majority vote.  Accordingly, I have added the following line to subclause 7.1.4:

.  Votes on disciplinary matters concerning EC members must meet a 2/3 approval threshold.

Attached please find the resulting P&P revision resolution (in Word and PDF).  Let me know if you have any issues!

Thanks,

Mat
