Buzz,
I recognize there are few locations that we can fit into for a Plenary. I
also recognize that we are offered very good financial terms.
However, I usually check with my members after a Plenary and ask whether they
would want to return to the location. Though we did vote a motion on Atlanta
after the last Plenary, virtually no member who attended Atlanta would rank
this location as a desired return location. One main point is that the downtown
area is not viewed as safe. I would not personally book another meeting in
downtown Atlanta for other organizations that I manage or vote venues. I did
manage a meeting last year in the Westin in downtown Atlanta for another
organization and the view of the attendees was not to return.
Therefore, I vote No.
