Mat,

I'll remind you that between March and November we discussed the possibility of adding EC teleconference type meetings to the rules and came to the conclusion that we didn't want to do that at this time. In an email yesterday I described some of the concerns. I don't think we should revisit it at this point.

Guys,

Please recall my new policy.  Accepting little fixes like this is how I
developed a horrible backlog in the first place.  I encourage others on
the EC to run some rules changes.  Geoff, I recognize it matters to you
and you can't vote, but I've got a backlog of 6 (I think) P&P revisions
that I prepared and were suspended.  One of those is in fact yours.  I'm
not about to take on more P&P work at this time.

So we can (at least) fix the "problem" of the rules comment resolution 
meeting by making it a standing meeting (until it runs out of work :^)
