Re: [802SEC] Regarding Joint Meeting of 802.19 and P1900.2

Geoff,

The P 1900 group is working on SDR. As the SA ITU-R liaison I've handled
inputs from them to ITU-R WP8A and WP8F. Understanding what they are
doing regarding coexistence seems to be in the best interests of the 802
wireless WGs.

Regards,

Mike

Geoff,

Those are all very good questions, and one of the reasons we
would like to meet with them is to better understand the work they are
doing and see if they is any synergy with what we are doing in the
802.19 TAG.

They are developing a Recommended Practice. Paul brought that
to the attention of the EC last year and asked me to set up a liaison
with them. We have exchanged some Power Point slides but have not had
anyone participate in the other group's meetings.

You can find their PAR on the IEEE web site at,

Steve

Steve-

Can you give a little more information?
I.e. what is the scope and field of P1900.2?
Is it expected to do a standard or a recommended practice or?? The
coexistence and interference of what and with what? RF spectrum? Radio
Frequency operational interference or ?

We know by context, history and familiarity what the scope of you group
is. We (or at least I) know nothing about 1900

Thanks

Geoff
