[802SEC] FW: Clarification on the revision of Recommendation ITU-R M.1450-2

All,

Please find enclosed a liaison statement from ITU-R seeking
clarification on the revision of Recommendation ITU-R M.1450-2. As you
will recall IEEE 802 submitted a proposed revision of M.1450 to ITU-R at
our March Plenary. That document was meant to start the revision process
and it was envisioned at that time that the revised Recommendation would
be completed sometime in 2007. While ITU-R is asking for some
clarifications on the proposal they have (in a separate liaison
statement) begun the process of coordinating the changes with ETSI and
ARIB.

The ITU-R is asking for a response by 30 August 2006 which is the
deadline for inputs the September meeting of WP8A. This will be on the
agenda of 802.18 for the May and July meetings.
