Re: [802SEC] 802.20 re-hearing relevant documentation

Hi Pat, We were doing that so Boeing has started ignoring the file
extension and looking for the zip-file header. We are trying to
convince them to just scan the contents of the zipped file using a
zip-decoder but they are not ready to buy that yet. Security folks are
very inflexible !!! :-)

Thanx, Buzz

Boeing isn't the only company that does that. The work around we have
been using in some of the editor groups is to change the extension on
the zip file to .txt and put the instruction in the email to let the
receiver know to translate it back to .zip.

Pat

Paul, Boeing has put a total embargo on all email attached zip files
because some idiot opened a phony one and let a virus loose inside our
network. So you must either send me the files unzipped or you must send
the zip-file to my home email address, BRigsB@comcast.net, which has no
such filter. Sorry but these are desperate times.
