Re: [802SEC] Email reflector

Steve,

I would also appreciate fixing this annoyance.

Geoff,
The tiny url thing may provide a work around, but I'm cautious enough to
prefer to be able to see where a URL will take me before I click on it.

Geoff,

	Thanks for the suggestion.

Of course I don't want all the email reflectors in the world to
stop truncating URLs, just the EC reflector. Many of the WG reflectors
work just fine and don't truncate. At least they work for the links to
Mentor which is now being used by many WGs.

I think it is worth fixing since there is interest in sending
out links.

Thanks,
Steve

Steve-

I don't believe we can keep all of the mailers in the world from
inserting
a new line character in long lines that are URLs
However, there is an easy solution, convert the long URL to a short one
by
going to www.tinyURL.com

James,

Would it be possible to fix the email reflector so that it
no longer truncates long web links and inserts a new line? That way we
can easily click on the link.

Since people prefer links it would be nice if the reflector
did not destroy the link.

Thanks,

Steve
