Dear EC members,

I am pleased to report that 802.11v has met the conditions required to proceed to Sponsor Ballot.

The 802.11v project (Network Management) was granted conditional approval to move to Sponsor Ballot by LMSC during the July 2009 Plenary meeting.

This email contains a summary report in compliance with Clause 13 of the LMSC Operations Manual.

In the 802.11 plenary held Friday September 25th WG approval for the comments was 37/0/2 and for the EC report 38/0/1.

a) Recirculation ballot is completed.
* Condition met: Recirculation ballot 155 completed on 07 August 2009

b) After resolution of the recirculation ballot is completed, the approval percentage is at least 75% and there are no new valid DISAPPROVE votes.
* Condition met: The approval percentage is 92.19%. There were no new valid DISAPPROVE votes.

c) No technical changes, as determined by the WG Chair, were made as a result of the recirculation ballot.

 * Condition met: The comment resolutions in the last recirculation did not approve any changes to the draft.

d) No new valid DISAPPROVE comments on new issues that are not resolved to the satisfaction of the submitter from existing DISAPPROVE voters.

These were ruled invalid as they did not relate to draft text changed, draft text affected by changed text or an existing unsatisfied DISAPPROVE comment from a DISAPPROVE voter.

f) The WG Chair shall immediately report the results of the ballot to the Sponsor including: the date the ballot closed, vote tally and comments associated with any remaining disapproves (valid and invalid), the WG responses and the rationale for ruling any vote invalid.

* The ballot closed on: August 7, 2009.

* The vote tally is: Approve 177, Disapprove 15, Abstain 38.
