Re: [802SEC] myballot status for the 802 EC Interim Teleconference -- June 7, 2011, 1-3pm ET.

Paul-

The very last paragraph in the last comment on Pat's report is actually a different topic.
(It is the one that Adrian brought up in today's e-mail)
It is the requirement for an effective bug-tracking and feature request system. That is completely different from the need for a 2nd generation balloting system.

It should be broken out into a separate item. I have edited Pat's spreadsheet to that effect and have attached it to this message.

All,

Pat will be on a plane and unable to join our call this afternoon, so she prepared the following status update as part of her agenda item.

Paul,

Here is the status:

I solicited comments on MyBallot and MyProject on the EC reflector and consolidated the issues into the attached spreadsheet. I sent the spreadsheet to Patricia Gerdon on May 19.

Most of the issues were with MyBallot. The only comment I received on MyProject was regarding automating transfer of ballot results from MyBallot to RevCom submittal forms. Therefore, I suggested focusing on MyBallot first.

There are 14 comments. I categorized that most interfere with the ability of voters to review outstanding issues and those that most burden volunteers managing ballots as priority 1 and 2. The priority 1 item is a case where MyBallot is, in my opinion, operating contrary to the SB OM. There were 7 priority 2 items. Priority 3 items are feature improvements and the priority 4 item is ideas on a next generation tool.

I'm awaiting a response from IEEE staff on the list.

Regards,
Pat

Pat,

Please provide a brief status update in writing (maybe a ppt slide or two?)
wrt to the MyBallot/MyProject work that you're leading prior to the call
that we can use to guide the discussion of that agenda item.

Regards,

Unfortunately, I'll be on a plane for most of the call. I'll try to dial
in once I've landed.
Pat
