Dear EC,
Please find attached an announcement from ITU-R WP1B saying that they plan to
develop an ITU-R Resolution on CRS. To do so they are starting "Studies on the
implementation and use of cognitive radio systems (CRS)". This work was proposed
by ITU-R WP1B for approval at the June, 2011 SG1 meeting. While the SG1 Chair's
report is not yet available it is presumed that this was approved. It should be
noted that 802.22 submitted data on their project to the recent WP1B meeting.
IEEE SA is among the members invited to contribute to this work.
Responses are requested for the next WP1B meeting (proposed for June, 2012) and
subsequent meetings.
