Re: [802SEC] Current Draft of the Plenary Session Sponsor Invitation Letter for your review & comments - DUE back to me no later than Friday, July 27, 2012

Buzz

I find nothing wrong with the letter.

I am sympathetic to the idea that we should put something in, perhaps early in the letter, that relates the benefit of having our plenary in their location. While I don't have the time to write something really nice, points we might insert include: - Opportunity for local technical experts to attend and observe the standards process without having to travel - 802 University Outreach provides cost-effective way to introduce university students to standards development that would not normally be available to them. - Hundreds of experts who may be able to present either before or after the plenary at local technical societies or events on 802 standards and technology.

However, it is OK with me if it goes out as-is.

The thought is to send out a simple 1-page invitation just to get an
expression of potential interest of sponsors from our various 802 members.

Specific requirements will be in the Plenary Session Sponsor Information
Package that will be sent to responders and posted on our website.

Thanx, Buzz
