Re: [802SEC] Fwd: P1905.1 draft access

Does the fee cover just this recirculation draft or does it cover the 50 users downloading future recirculation drafts (assuming that there are future recircs).

What is the plan for giving out the access info to keep us within our 50?

Regards,
Pat

P.S. I would have voted approve, but it got enough votes before I saw this. I agree that the draft should be made available for liaison without a fee, but it's the practical thing to move forward at the moment.

James,

I find (oh my gosh) myself agreeing with you, and will second the motion.

However I think that if they show an interest in an 802 document (of course why would they?) what fee do we charge for their access and ability to comment?

But then again why would they wish to comment on a lowly 802 document?

Maybe I justy haven't been doing this work long enough to understand why one IEEE group charges (and profits) from another IEEE group wishing to review and comment upon the other groups work.

Unless, of course, IEEE 802's skill set is seen as inferior to theirs. No, in my view this is not about entity or some other form of participation.

If they get "sidewise" to 802 on any regulatory issue then I guess we have no means to comment on their vews? Are they the "superior" group?

I thought we were just one big happy family working together.

Mike

Well, it is better than ignoring us.

I move that we pay the fee.
