Re: [802SEC] 802.18 agenda item for Friday EC meeting: IEEE 802.18-13-0088-02

Pat,

Every time ITU-R Working Party 5D updates the IMT-2000 standard (formerly on an annual basis; more recently biennially), it asks the participants to submit notifications of their intended update of the underlying standards, over a range of three meetings. "Meeting X" is the first such WP 5D meeting in the update cycle; "Meeting X+1" is the second; "Meeting X+2" is the third.

By the way, the IMT-Advanced standard is updated the same way, but the meetings are called "Meeting Y", "Meeting Y+1", and "Meeting Y+2". The EC will probably continue to see these terms again and again in documents for WP 5D.
