[802SEC] GSC - Global Standards Collaboration

EC colleagues,

 

IEEE-SA has recently been accepted as a member of GSC.  The historical background can be found on the ITU-T website:

The next meeting is being hosted by ETSI, July 21-23, 2014 at the ETSI Headquarter in Sophia Antipolis, France:

This will be the first of the new format GSC meetings comprised of:

 

·        Opening (Chair = ETSI)

·        Status reporting from all GSC Members and invited WG(s)

·        Strategic Topic Session 1 - M2M + IoT (Chair = TTA)

·        Strategic Topic Session 2 - SDN/NFV (Chair = ATIS)

·        Strategic Topic Session 3 - Critical Communication (Chair = ETSI)

·        Wrap up and conclusions (Chair = ETSI)

IEEE-SA is currently putting together content for the strategic topic sessions.  If you would like to suggest content or volunteer to present, please let me know.    Just to be clear, IEEE-SA can only have one presentation in each session – so if there are multiple activities in IEEE, they will all need to be all taken into account.
