Anyone who is capable of
reading the DVD is capable of copying the contents to a drive on
the network for the purpose of sharing.|
Many new laptops (and some not so new such as mine) have no DVD reader, so the user will copy the DVD content onto the local drive which in many cases will end up on a network drive as part of an automated backup. Those that would intentionally copy the contents to a network drive for sharing are not impeded by doing so with a DVD. I see no greater risk of unauthorized use based on the medium. As the memory stick is useable directly for many users, it seems a better choice if the cost is equivalent.
